The Jets gave up a second, fourth and seventh round pick to move up four spots to take the wide receiver they coveted. Hill has impressive size, at 6-foot-4 and 215 pounds, something the Jets desperately need on offense. The Jets reportedly had Hill ranked higher on their draft board than Notre Dame's Michael Floyd, who went early in the first round.
So, this could end up being a steal for the Jets. Of course, he's going to have to play well quickly because the Jets now no longer have a fourth or fifth round pick in this year's draft, limiting their options to fill other needs. But wide receiver was big and the Jets filled the hole.
The Jets filled a major hole on Day 1 of the draft, selecting a needed pass rusher in North Carolina's Quinton Coples. The team's third round choice is going to have to be a good one as well, with offensive line the most glaring need.

Love the pick for the Jets, we needed a big WR and this gets that done. Now we have to draft a RT.
ReplyDeleteGreat pick and gotta love how he's already playing to the Jets fans.
